SUMMERHOW HOUSE is located in South Cumbria approximately 2 miles from the busy market town of Kendal and about ten miles from the M6 junction 36 and twelve miles from Junction 39 Shap.

Directions from the South via the M6:
Come off the M6 at Junction 36 and take the signs for Kendal. Go through Kendal taking the signs marked SHAP A6. On the A6 on the outskirts of Kendal you will pass Kendal Rugby Ground on the left and the Superstore complex on the right. Keep going for approximately half a mile and Summerhow is on the right just after the clearway sign. You will see a pair of white gates and "Summerhow" is signed on the wall to the right of the gate. Proceed down the drive to the house.

Directions from the North via the M6:
Come off the M6 at Junction 39 and take the A6 marked Kendal. On approaching Kendal, the drive is on the left just short of the 40mph speed zone on the outskirts of Kendal. The drive starts with a pair of white gates and "Summerhow" is signed on the wall to the right of the gate. Proceed down the drive to the house.

Directions from the East via Sedbergh:
Proceed over the motorway into Kendal. Go through Kendal taking the signs marked A6 SHAP. On the A6 on the outskirts of Kendal etc. etc.

Via Rail:
Take the train to OXENHOLME STATION (on the mainline route London to Glasgow) OXENHOLME is 3 miles from SUMMERHOW HOUSE. We can pick up and return guests to the station on request, otherwise there are taxis.
