Luxury B&B Accommodation in Kendal
The emphasis is on comfort and luxury in our beautifully decorated, light, airy Bedrooms. Both rooms have dual aspect windows overlooking the countryside which get the benefit of the afternoon and evening sun. Guests will be pampered with toiletries, cosy towelling dressing gowns, hairdryers, bottled water, plenty of books and magazines and fresh flowers. Bedrooms have small televisions with DVD players and facilities to make tea, hot chocolate or a cafetiere of fresh ground coffee. Both rooms have private, en suite shower rooms with heated towel rails. For guests who prefer a bath, there is an elegant, private Bathroom with a shower and a bath which is available solely for their use.
THE SIZERGH ROOM is named after John's family home where he grew up. This Bedroom has a king sized bed with plenty of cushions and pillows and a very pretty en suite shower room. It has wonderful views overlooking the topiary garden and croquet lawn. Our field beyond, is well stocked with sheep and in the Spring and early Summer, lots of bouncy lambs...
THE BURLINGTON ROOM is a spacious, comfortable, light room with twin beds and a modern en suite shower room. It has wide open views of the croquet lawn and the orchard.
BREAKFAST AT SUMMERHOW
Breakfast is the only meal we serve, so we make every effort to provide our guests with a great start to the day... This consists of a traditional English breakfast, cereals, muesli, porridge, yogurt, fruit and juice. All our produce is either home made or locally sourced. Breakfast is served in our panelled Dining Room or out on the terrace, weather permitting.
DINNER
We don't provide dinner at Summerhow but will be very happy to advise guests on where to eat and book a table if required. There is a large variety of local dining, ranging from English. Italian, Indian, Thai, French and Chinese Restaurants to Gourmet Pubs, all within easy reach of the house.
